Every year, Watauga College , Appalachian's Residential College , presents a series of lectures by Appalachian faculty and administrators. The topics vary greatly and are based on a passionate interest of the lecturer, an interest that doesn't quite fit into a typical class focus. The lectures are entertaining and interactive; note-taking is optional (actually discouraged), and no one will be tested on the material. All interested people are invited to this free educational experience in the LLA Great Hall.
