Long Range Project: Relocate approximately one mile of the Appalachian Trail to avoid its merging with a fire road near Iron Mountain Gap on the Tennessee/North Carolina border. Watauga College freshmen and sophomores, faculty, and members of the Tennessee Eastman Hiking and Canoeing Club completed 2100 feet of new trail.
Highlights: Lunch from Our Daily Bread, supper catered by Woodlands Barbeque, and seeing a completed trail meandering through the woods at the end of the workday.
