FALL 2001 WATAUGA COLLEGE RETREAT ~ PHOTO GALLERY

Sunday, August 26, 2001

Over one hundred Watauga College students, faculty, and staff along with members of the Tennessee Eastman Hiking and Canoeing Club and with support from the Appalachian Trail Conference and the U.S. Forest Service , spent the day building a new section of the Appalachian Trail in the Pisgah National Forest. This is the second year Watauga students have worked building new sections of the Appalachian Trail. In addition to completing almost a quarter mile of new trail, this year's event also included time for a swim beneath the spectacular Elk River Falls.
